Shaun Keough’s practice focuses on assisting businesses with transactions, employment contract issues, entity formation, and intellectual property, including copyright, trademark, and trade secret protection, and compliance with data privacy laws. Shaun also assists clients with business litigation and appellate advocacy.
Shaun attended Northeastern University School of Law, where he focused on business and intellectual property law, taking such classes as intellectual property transactional practice, corporations, employment law, modern real estate development, and land use. In addition, as a participant in the Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Moot Court competition, Shaun co-authored a brief that ranked eighth nationally. Shaun was also active in the Intellectual Property Society and the American Constitutional Society.
Shaun developed his legal skills working in the Economic Crimes Unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts; WGBH’s Business and Legal Affairs Department; the employment, intellectual property, strategic alliance, and corporate practice groups at Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton, P.C., a business and intellectual property law firm in Waltham, MA; and in the chambers of the Honorable Gary Katzmann of the Massachusetts Appeals Court, where Shaun helped to draft bench memoranda and § 1:28 opinions for criminal and civil appeals.
Prior to law school, Shaun worked as an electrician and superintendent where he managed projects and supervised staff.
In his spare time, Shaun enjoys science fiction, staying abreast of the latest developments in technology (in particular mobile and tablets), photography, and watching sporting events, especially Red Sox games. Shaun is also an avid runner.
